Compelling story, wonderful acting. You won't regret seeing this!

When I first heard about this play, I was expecting a typical World War II story (if such a thing exists) ... I was VERY surprised by the plot! There are quite a few twists that make it "on-the-edge-of-your-seat" exciting. The message of the play is quite powerful and not at all forced-- it is woven very cleverly and cleanly into the overall storyline (which has a tremendous pace and cadence of its own).

The younger children in our house watched the scarier scenes without any trouble, but if you are a parent with a small child (age six or younger), you might want to preview "Lions of Trondheim" before showing them the entire play. Nothing is graphic or inappropriate, but there are a few rather intense moments, mostly due to the climate of World War II Europe.

All in all, you will not regret watching this production. The acting is amazing, the set and tech are fantastically composed, the story is riveting, and the message is moving! Also, the DVD product itself is well put-together and has great image quality. I highly recommend this DVD!
